On June 19th, the tour “In the footsteps of ancient travelers” took place in Ortigia, sponsored by the Sicily Regional Guide Association and organized by Dr. Serena Intagliata and Dr. Carmelo Scandurra.
The tour took place through the streets of the historic center of the island, in the evening and included a series of stops in the places of greatest historical and monumental interest, to discover the secrets and symbols kept among the baroque buildings, alleys and churches.
At the end of the tour, which was attended by numerous guests, there was a small tasting based on typical local products at the “Providence” Artisan Ceramics Laboratory. The tour will also be repeated next autumn on the occasion of a national conference.
