Discovering Palazzolo Acreide UNESCO World Heritage Site and the olive oil
Located in the heart of the Hyblaean Mountains and included among UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Palazzolo Acreide attracts tourists thanks to its singularity of its unique urban structure, rich in charm and evidence of past times.
In particular, we will visit the main sights that identify the territory: the still visible Ancient Greek theatre of Akrai in the upper part of the city; Palazzolo’s medieval center with its baroque churches and ancient noble palaces located in the upper district thereof entirely rebuilt after the earthquake of 1693.
From Palazzolo Acreide it’s easy to reach Tenuta Cavasecca, where we will organize an oil tasting for you or a guided walk through an avenue of centuries-old olive trees.
