The tour includes a classic guided tour of the most hidden places on the island, to discover the secrets kept among the baroque buildings, churches and alleys of the historic center. At the end, guests will be offered a delicious surprise at a typical home in Ortigia (dammuso).
THE STONE PRISONS – Archaeological area of Neapolis at night
In a suggestive nocturnal atmosphere, you will discover the history of the Latomia del Paradiso and the wonderful artificial caves kept in it: the Grotta dei Cordari and the Ear of Dionysus. Following a chronological order and with the help of literary sources, the guide will illustrate the most representative moments that have characterized the history of the “stone prisons”.
The thematic visit will also include brief notes on the various monuments of the Neapolis Park (Greek Theater, Ara di Ierone, Roman Amphitheater).
